The Moncton Fire Department is reminding the public there’s a fire ban across the entire province right now.
Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says they responded to a call about a fire in the Boundary Creek area around 8:30 Monday morning, where it turned out the homeowner was burning leftover hay.
Dollemont says they helped extinguish the fire, and reminded the woman there was a fire ban in place.
The ban is updated at 2 o’clock every day on the Government of New Brunswick website.
