The Moncton Fire Department were called to the Trans Canada Highway on ramp from Mapleton Road around 9 this morning after an accident involving a transport truck.
Acting Platoon Chief Ron Arsenault says a transport truck loaded with fertilizer overturned and spilled its cargo onto the roadway, and shoulder.
He says the initial concern was the fertilizer getting into the waterways, but it had only covered part of the road.
Arsenault says the driver suffered minor injuries, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
