A home has been heavily damaged by fire in Moncton’s north end.
Fire Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says firefighters were called to 476 Evergreen Drive just before the noon hour.
“When firefighters arrived, they found the entire front of the house involved in fire. They quickly reacted and knocked the fire down”, he says.
Dollemont says the quick work of firefighters prevented the fire from becoming a lot worse.
Dollemont says no one was at home when the fire broke out and no one was hurt.

The home did sustain exterior damage and fire got into the attic but he doesn’t think it will be a total loss.
The cause is now under investigation.
