Patient Care Not Affected During Planned Power Outage At The Moncton Hospital

An accident during a planned power outage prompted the fire department to respond to The Moncton Hospital earlier today.

Horizon Health spokesperson Stephanie Neilson-Levesque is reassuring the public that patient care was not, and has not been affected.

She believes a switch blew during the planned outage, and they were partly running on auxiliary power for a short time this morning.

Neilson-Levesque says as of approximately 8:30, power has been fully restored, and hospital operations are back to normal.
