The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is continuing a geese management program at the Dieppe Traffic Circle after a successful first year in 2017.
In an email, a department spokesperson said monitoring for this has already begun, and will continue until August, while egg collection started back in April.
When the program was announced, DTI Minister Bill Fraser said the eggs collected would be frozen, and given to the New Brunswick Museum for scientific study.
DTI reports the program as a success, insofar as no goose broods were produced within the traffic circle in 2017.
Atlantic Wildlife Institute Director of Wildlife Care Pam Novak said last year they removed 200 goose eggs from the inner portion of the traffic circle.
