The City of Dieppe has donated $500,000 to the Universite de Moncton.
The funding will be used to enhance a current scholarship fund and to create a new one.
It will also be used toward a new national Acadian archive centre.
Dieppe mayor Yvon Lapierre says the university is a major player in the economic, cultural and social development of our region.
