The Mayor for the City of Dieppe says news of TD Bank Group moving into CF Champlain is positive for the whole province.
Yvon LaPierre says this will also give the location a facelift bringing a more modern appearance, “The lighting and whole property was starting to lose its looks and showing its age.”
Work is currently underway on a finance operations centre for TD Bank Group, that will open in January 2019.
It will create 1015 jobs for the region, 575 customer service focused positions and 440 skilled jobs.
Lapierre says, “Cadillac Fairview has always been a strong corporate citizen in Dieppe. We know when new employers come to area, we get out share of the construction and I think that is going to be great for everybody.”
The new centre will centralize certain finance operational functions and will provide a range of services, such as general accounting, reporting and transaction processing.
Recruitment for these positions will begin in September.
