A 38-year-old Moncton man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of a woman in her early thirties.
Codiac RCMP say Rejean Gautreau was arrested on Sunday and was charged in Moncton court today.
Police say the death of the woman occurred at a home in Moncton on Friday.
A heavy police presence has surrounded an apartment building on Fleet Street since Sunday.
Gautreau is being held in custody until his next court appearance on April 23.
The victim’s name has not been released as police are contacting the family.
