Two Moncton Realtors Lose Real Estate Licenses

Two Moncton real estate salespeople have been stripped of their New Brunswick real estate licenses.

After reviewing their professional conduct, the Financial and Consumer Services Commission has determined Tanya Hannah and Maurice Poirier took advantage of a vulnerable senior when they were selling his home.

Poirier has filed a motion to appeal but the Financial and Consumer Services Tribunal has not set a date yet to hear it.

Hannah and Poirier cannot apply to be relicensed for at least one year and will be reassessed at that time.

Meantime, Century 21 Canada has released a statement regarding this action.

Century 21 Canada says it recently learned of the allegations and disciplinary action against Tanya Hannah and Maurice Poirier.

While at one time they were authorized to use the Century 21 brand under a franchise agreement, that agreement was terminated in August 2017.

At all times Century 21 Absolute Realty Inc. was an independently owned and operated real estate brokerage and has no affiliation with any other Century 21 Canada office.
