A lot of controversy has been swirling around Moncton’s Downtown Centre given that it will not have any on-site parking when it officially opens this fall.
Corporate Research Associates has conducted a poll which shows 67 percent of residents surveyed believe the lack of parking will have a negative impact on attending events at the nearly 10,000 seat facility.
Meantime, 30 percent said they disagreed and the remainder had no opinion.
CRA pollster Don Mills says the City of Moncton will clearly have to address the perceived parking issue by outlining available options nearby.
Hundreds of parking spots are within a short vantage point of the new arena according to Mayor Dawn Arnold.
She adds good transit service will drop you off at the door.
CRA polled 401 adults in Greater Moncton in the telephone survey last month.
