Since being told he had cancer earlier this year, a Moncton City Councillor is now been bonding with others who are facing the same diagnosis.
Shawn Crossman says, ” One of my goals is to put together a Multiple Myeloma walk for Moncton. I am going to reach out to Multiple Myeloma Canada. The Moncton area serves all up north as well as local.”
The first walk to be held in New Brunswick was in Saint John in September.
“I’m getting calls from people that have Multiple Myeloma and they are getting updates from me and they want to be a part of something bigger,” Crossman says.
Crossman recently completed 16 weeks of chemotherapy.
Yesterday, he had his second bone marrow biopsy and the next step is a stem cell transplant.
