Man Killed In Cumberland Bay Crash

A 55-year-old man has died after his pickup truck left the road and hit a power pole in Cumberland Bay, about 45 kilometres northwest of Sussex.

Minto RCMP say officers were called to the scene on Highway 10 around 10:30 p.m. on Friday.

“A 55-year-old man, who was the driver of the vehicle, was ejected from the pickup truck and pronounced dead at the scene,” the RCMP said in a news release on Saturday.

A female passenger was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, they said.

Mounties are still trying to piece together what caused the crash.
