You may have already noticed poppies appearing on coats as Canadians show support for veterans.
The annual Poppy campaign continues until November 11th and the Legion members want everyone to know the poppies are not sold but given by donation.
Thank you to the millions of Canadians who wear the Legion’s lapel Poppy each November, the little red flower has never died, and the memories of those who fell in battle remain strong. Do you have your Poppy? #GetYourPoppy pic.twitter.com/do908lxxX4

Donations from the annual poppy campaign are held in trust at the branch level to directly support vets and their families and to help ensure we never forget.
In 2016, over 21 million poppies were distributed and more than 16 million dollars was dispersed to support veterans and their families.
