Moncton Headstart’s Coats For Kids Seeks Donations

Moncton Headstart’s annual Coats for Kids campaign is underway which means gently used winter outerwear is again being sought.

Executive director Mary O’Donnell says coats, hats, mittens, boots and snowpants are needed for children of all ages.

“A couple of years ago, we served about 900 children. Last year we served about 650 children,” she noted.

O’Donnell says they simply didn’t have the inventory in 2017 and the record breaking warm weather may have played a role.

She says outerwear for teenagers is especially in need since that age category is often overlooked.

Donations can be dropped off at Moncton Headstart on Mountain Road, any Jean Coutu location in Greater Moncton, NBCC Moncton or at Boutique Second Edition until next Friday, November 2nd.
