Southern New Brunswick Will Get A Soaking

A lot of rain is expected in Southern New Brunswick over the next couple of days but the storm system is actually separate from Hurricane Michael.

Environment Canada meteorologist Spencer Clements says up to 45 mm of rain could fall by late Friday.

“Mostly this is due to a low presure system that is moving eastward out of the Great Lakes region. There is the chance that it might interact with moisture from Michael,” he notes.

Clements says Michael will weaken to a post-tropical depression before it’s expected to pass just south of the Maritimes by Saturday.

He adds Southern New Brunswick will pick up more rain but shouldn’t have to worry about wind.
