It’s a day off school for students across the region, thanks to the third storm in a week.
Anglophone East, Francophone South and Anglophone North Schools are affected.
According to Environment Canada, around 9 centimetres of snow had fallen at the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport as of 2 this morning.
Meterologist Jeffrey Hilliard says we could see another 15 centimetres of snow throughout today.
The winter storm warning is affecting most of the province, but the northeastern part seems to be the hardest hit.
“Right now, the worst is looking further north in New Brunswick, even for today we are calling for an additional 20 to 30 centimetres of snow for that region. That snow will be heavy at times and blowing around.”
Thousands of NB Power customers across the province woke up without power this morning.
Flights in and out of the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport were cancelled last night and early this morning.
Snow plows are out this morning in Greater Moncton, but there are still flurries and winds, that could cause blowing snow in open areas and result in zero visibility.
Codiac Transpo buses are running.
Travel is not advised on a number of routes across the province this morning, according to 511nb.ca This is due to deteriorating conditions due to the weather.
