An Emotion Filled Three Fathers Run At Bore Park

Tears flowed during the fourth annual Three Fathers Run, held in Bore Park yesterday…

Over a thousand people gathered to honour RCMP Constables Dave Ross, Doug Larche and Fabrice Gevaudan, who died tragically in the line of duty on June 4, 2014..

MLA for Dieppe Roger Melanson was one of many dignitaries who spoke, “Today we are here to remember the ultimate sacrifice of Doug, Dave and Fabrice, but we can never ever forget that these three great men were fathers. Let’s not forget the quality of life that we have in this area, and let’s not forget and take for granted the safety of our neighbours and the safety of our community.”

A surprise fly-by by a CF-18 was done after O’Canada was sung by a children’s choir, prior to the event..

Spokesperson Nadine Larche says over a thousand participants walked or ran to raise money for scholarships for 18 students in high schools that the Codiac RCMP cover, “We had a hard time choosing because the quality was just amazing and we are so proud of you and we are so thankful for you. Everybody here, and the graduates are great members of the community who show leadership and community involvement.”
