The Business Confidence Index, commissioned by TD Bank, has found businesspeople are more optimistic about their own companies than the economy overall.
Business confidence in New Brunswick in the last six months has increased by 9.8 points.
It found there’s reason to be optimistic about more hiring in the coming year along with wage increases.
The survey finds businesspeople believe high taxes, a lack of population growth and lack of qualified employees are holding back business growth and more could be done to foster a better climate for business.
