Residents Digging Out After Winter Storm Dumps 20 Centimetres Of Snow

Residents are digging themselves out after a storm dumped about 20 centimetres of snow on the ground overnight.

Environment Canada meteorologist Barrie Mackinnon says we should expect another couple centimetres of snow before the storm wraps up around midday.

“Winds right now are about northwest 30 gusting to 50 kilometres per hour, and those are expected to diminish and probably maintain around northwest 20 to 40 kilometres per hour tonight,” says Mackinnon.

He says tonight and tomorrow morning will be quite cold, especially when you factor in the windchill.
