In May of 2016, Ann Seamans began her second term as the Mayor of Riverview. She immediately got down to work along with members of town council, passing a new strategic plan, that will help them moving forward into 2017.
Another things she is very proud of, is what they have done to get their residents more involved, using their citizens engagement strategy, “One of the big exciting ones that just shows where that went this year, is our Light Up Riverview campaign. The lights that we had, had to be put in individually. We partnered with the middle school in Riverview and 200 students put in 12, 000 bulbs, one by one.”
Seamans says they also saw business growth in their community with the addition of 13 new businesses, and expansions of several more.
