Friends of a well known former Mayor of Dieppe are invited to sign a book of condolences at City Hall.
William Malenfant was a former councillor and mayor of Dieppe, as well as a former provincial MLA.
His involvement politics ran from 1971 to 1998.
He passed away on Friday at the age of 87.
Malenfant was also very involved in his community, as a volunteer firefighter, with the Knights of Columbus, the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Georges-Dumont Hospital Commission.
Visitations will be held tomorrow at the Chartersville Funeral Home, and a funeral is planned at the Sainte Therese Roman Catholic Church.
Melanfant was involved in politics between 1971 and 1998, and served as the Mayor of Dieppe and also as an MLA in Memramcook.
