Birders will gather in Fundy National Park tomorrow, for the annual Christmas Bird Count.
It is one of the longest running wildlife census in the world, and it’s the 16th year for the count.

Project Development Officer Anne Bardou says Fundy is one of 20 sites being surveyed in New Brunswick, “It allows us to have a better idea of bird populations that are around during the winter months.”
The birds are surveyed across 24 kilometres of Fundy National Park.
Bardou says sometimes they have rare sightings of birds that are not usually found in our region…
About 30 birders have signed up to participate in the Bird Count so far.
The bird count gets underway at 8am tomorrow. To register, a few details are needed first. Bardou asks that you give them a call on Friday at 506-887-6026.
