Another Winter Blast Headed For The Maritimes

Get ready to shovel.

Students across the region in Anglophone East and Francophone South, as well as student in Miramichi and Rexton in the Anglophone North school district, all have another snow day today.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of New Brunswick, including the northern and Southeastern region, all of Prince Edward Island and most of Nova Scotia.

Meteorologist Richard LaFortune says the snow is expected to start falling this morning, but it won’t get heavy until this evening, “We’re looking at totals around 15 centimetres, or a few more than that by midnight tonight.,

LaFortune says the whole province will be affected by this storm, but the southwestern part wont see as much snow at the Southeast.

He says winds will also pick up later this afternoon and into the evening, and that could cause some visibility issues.
