Despite some chilly temperatures, about 100,000 people lined the streets for the Royale Greater Moncton Santa Claus Parade last night.
This year was the 50th anniversary of the parade, and the theme was Fire and Ice which included fireworks from the top of City Hall.
More than 100 floats and 18 mascots took part this year, including the highlight of Santa Claus himself making it the biggest parade in Greater Moncton history.
Planning Committee Member Robert Gallant says the parade is a labour of love that is a year round planning effort, and they are likely to get started on next year very shortly.
