Angels Remembered Campaign Helps To Celebrate Loved Ones Who Have Passed On

It can be a tough time of year for those who have lost a loved one.

Hospice Greater Moncton has launched its annual Angels Remembered campaign, that will help you to honour those who have passed away.

Spokesperson Amber Richards says an angels can be purchased at several locations including the Hospice Shoppe and Walmart, “Make a donation and then you can take one of the Hospice angels that we have on site. You can write your loved ones name on it and hang it on the tree.”

Richards say this helps to honour our loved ones, “The families who grieve, they think of their loved ones who have passed away at Christmas time, but they can’t get them a gift. With Angels Remembered, you can honour them. “

All of the money raised goes to support palliative care services in Greater Moncton, “Hospice Greater Moncton is a volunteer based non profit organization and they provide in-home services to those who have a palliative diagnosis and these services include visiting clients, providing company and relief to caregivers, ” Richards notes.

Hospice Greater Moncton also provides support after your loved one has passed away.

Their goal is to build a 10 bed residential hospice for those who don’t need to be in hospital, but do need more care than is provided in their home.
