Weather Network Unveils Winter Forecast For Metro Moncton

The Weather Network has unveiled its winter forecast for the months of December, January and February and it seems to echo what others have been saying – we should expect a classic Canadian winter.

Meteorologist Tyler Hamilton says temperatures will likely see-saw throughout the season in Southeast New Brunswick but will balance out in the end.

“Average temperatures for the area of Moncton and the southeast part of the province are just slightly below freezing. I think it averages out at about -2 C… that would a typical winter in terms of temperature,” he adds.

Hamilton believes the storm track will vary this winter and that could mean various forms of precipitation such as rain or freezing rain instead of all of it falling as snow.
