Rothesay Man Not Seriously Hurt In Seaplane Crash In Kennebecasis River

A Rothesay man was taken to hospital but wasn’t seriously hurt after the seaplane he was flying crashed into the Kennebecasis River.

The 51-year-old man was the only person in the plane.

It was just after 5pm on Monday when the Hampton RCMP responded to a report of the crash which happened just west of the Kingston Peninsula ferry in Quispamsis and emergency responders from several agencies came to the scene.

The RCMP and the Transportation Safety Board are working together on this file. Anyone who might have seen the plane go down is asked to get in touch with the Hampton RCMP at (506) 832-5566.
