Moncton City Councillor Rene “Pepsi” Landry Passes Away

The City of Moncton is mourning the death of a longtime City Councillor.

Friends and fellow Councillors have posted to social media today that Rene Pepsi Landry has passed away after a battle with cancer.

He was 79 years old.

Paul Pellerin posted “He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.”

He adds, ” The City has lost not only a Community Leader and Advocate; it has also lost a Great Friend. RIP Pepsi you will be missed.”

Landry was re-elected to Moncton City Council in Ward 4, in May of this year for a fourth term.
