Video Game Developers From NB Hope To Have Game Shown On International Stage

After premiering at the Jalloo Animation Festival in Miramichi, the team behind the video game ‘Guide’ is hoping to have their game shown on an international stage.

Fredericton native Rebecca Goodine says her team is now working towards getting Guide approved for being toured by iThrive at international expos, and releasing the game on they’re own as well.

The plot of their game is about a bird that wakes up alone and scared when a guide approaches.

Goodine says you realize through the game that the guide might not have the best perception of the world around you, which represents social anxiety.

The game came in second place at the gaming development competition Games4Health with the purpose of developing a game to encourage people to live healthier lives.
