32,000 people in New Brunswick received regular EI benefits in the month of May, according to Statistics Canada.
New Brunswick marked a 1.6% drop from the month before, with declines in both Moncton (-1.5%) and Saint John (-1.1%) contributing to the decline.
In Atlantic Canada, only Newfoundland and Labrador marked an increase at 2.9%, with PEI at -4.4%, and Nova Scotia remaining steady.
Country wide, 544,900 people received EI in May.
