Non-Profit Group Expands Veteran Tribute To Metro Moncton

The non-profit group, Veterans Voices of Canada, is bringing its flag raising event to the Greater Moncton area this year.

On October 1st, 128 Canadian flags will be raised on Coverdale Road in Riverview in honour of Canada’s veterans and fallen soliders.

The 128 flags represent the 128,000 killed and missing in action from the Boer War to the present day.

Allan Cameron founded the event in 2014 in Alberta.

Cameron says the event is expanding and he adds it will continue to grow from here.

The flags will go up at the same time right across the country.

In Riverview, it will be on October 1st at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

For more information on sponsorships for flags and plaques, contact Jordan Chiasson at 506-378-0449 or jcvetvoice@gmail.com.
