Two years ago today, Hurricane Arthur unleashed its fury on New Brunswick, leaving over 140,000 people without power province-wide.
July 5th, 2014 marks a day that saw 143 mms of rain in a 24 hour period, and winds that reached up to 110 kms per hour.
Hurricane Arthur flooded roads, damaged homes, businesses and power lines, and ripped entire trees out by their roots.
Many sought shelter at the St. Stephen Legion during the storm, as it was one of the only places left with power in town, and the annual Harley Draw continued as planned with a large crowd.
It took a full two weeks following the storm to restore power back to Charlotte County.
