A long-awaited condominium project is getting underway in downtown Moncton on Queen Street behind Moncton City Hall.
The so-called Five-Five-Queen will be a mix of condos, a boutique hotel, a restaurant and commercial space.
Developer Bill Hennessey says the eight-storey building has a unique, modern design and will occupy an entire city block on Queen from Lester to Wesley Streets.
P.E.I.-based Murphy Hospitality Group will operate the boutique hotel and the Gahan House brew-pub restaurant.
Construction on the $20 million project will start later this summer and should take 18 months to complete.
