A big family reunion celebrating the arrival of the Steeves family in Moncton 250 years ago is drawing closer.
The 10 day gathering kicks off on July 21st with numerous events planned in Moncton and Hillsborough.
Event chair Bobbie Steeves says a signature event on July 23rd at the Moncton Coliseum will challenge a Guinness World Record.
“Not only for the area but for our family which has brought national and international attention. We were on the cover of every major newspaper in the country talking about the Guinness event,” she notes.
The Steeves family hopes to break a world record for the largest gathering of people with the same last name in the same room at the same time.
