McCain Foods Announces Expansion At NB French Fry Plant

McCain Foods is being applauded by the Premier for its 65 million dollar expansion at its Florenceville-Bristol french fry plant.

Brian Gallant was on hand today as McCain announced a 32 thousand square foot expansion for a new production line.

This is the company’s largest investment the company has made in any Canadian facility since 2008.

With this, an additional 4 thousand acres of potatoes will be needed…which is good news for River Valley’s agricultural economy as well.

Economic Development Minister Francine Landry says McCain is recognized worldwide as a New Brunswick success story.

Construction will begin immediately with production scheduled to start in late 2017 or early 2018.
