Another food truck will begin selling from parking lots in Greater Moncton starting today.
This one sells local produce, jams, sausages, breads and other items..
This is the second year for the Farmer’s Truck. They currently carry things like vegetables, pestos and jams, sausages, pates and bread.
Founder and CEO Frederick Laforge says they’re hoping to unveil a brand new truck early next month, “We’re going to be able to have the variety the we envisioned and having a very compressed version of a Farmer’s Market inside of a small truck. Having all of your meats, eggs and vegetables and dairy all in one area, under roof.”
The new truck will have a refrigerated display area, which means they’ll also be able to have more delicate items like cheeses, “If that truck seems to fit the model and we feel confident moving forward with that design, then the next step is to franchise.”
The new truck will expand the size of the refrigerated display area by about two and a half times.
The Farmer’s Truck will be open today at 11am. Their first stop is the Laundromat Espresso Bar on St George.
