NB Power is advising its customers of a telephone scam.
Reports have come in from customers that they have received telephone calls from individuals posing as employees for the power utility.
The caller advises the customer that an urgent payment must be made in order to avoid having their power disconnected, But the payment must be made immediately by money order.
Customers who receive calls from individuals making these claims are encouraged to report the incident immediately to RCMP or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
