Re-Centre Pilot Project To Begin Accepting Electronics And Cardboard

To this point, the Re-Centre pilot project has been accepting beverage containers, but now, it is adding electronics and cardboard waste.

The new service is being introduced for the two year anniversary of the program.

Project Co-ordinator Tim Pidgeon says members can drop the materials off at the Mountain Road depot, “We’ll be able to get averages of how many tons or part of tons do we get per member visits. We know how many members we have, so we can work out on average how much we are receiving per household.”

Electronics include old computer screens, laptops, DVD players audio players, and landline telephones. You can find a full list on thier website HERE

To date, Pidgeon says the beverage container program has done extremely well.
