Engineering work will be carried out this spring in the Fairview Knoll Park area of northeast Moncton to prevent future flooding problems.
A pipe system is being built to divert water coming downhill away from area homes and into a retention pond.
Moncton engineering spokesperson Alcide Richard says the city presented preliminary plans at a neighbourhood meeting last fall.
Richard says the final plans are being presented at a neighbourhood public meeting tonight, at 6:30-pm at Forest Glen School.
Once the engineering work is completed, the city intends to make improvements in Fairview Knoll Park next year.
