The increases started this week…with the weekly price adjustment overnight.
The maximum cost of regular self serve increased 1.2 cents a litre.
Several stations in Moncton are selling for around 87.5 cents a litre this morning.
Dan McTeague of Gasbuddy.com says, “US demand is higher right now than it was last year, but at the same time production is down, so that is a recipe for several weeks of ratcheting up prices. We’re going to looking at increases of three to four cents a litre, so take advantage while you can.”
Diesel and furnace oil prices are both up under a cent a litre this week.
