Moncton’s Worst Kept Secret Revealed!

It’s official. Dawn Arnold, who currently sits on Moncton City Council as a Councillor at Large is running for Mayor.

Over her last four years on council, Arnold says she has spoken with thousands of residents from students and seniors to working parents and entreprenuers.

“I’ve listened to your concerns and commemts, your dreams and ideas about the kind of community that you want to live in. While there have been many viewpoints, one message has consistently run clear, Monctonians believe in our community and they want it to thrive,” she noted.

She was elected to her current role in 2012, but she has been involved in the Moncton community in many other ways.

Since 2000, she has been involved in establishing and growing the Frye Festival, an event designed to inspire thousands to read and write.

She is a member of a number of boards and other organizations, including serving as the Co-Chair of the Downtown Moncton Revitalization Committee, Downtown Moncton Centreville Board, the Moncton Public Library Board, and the Bilingualism in Moncton Committee.

Arnold plans to announcement more details about her platform in the days ahead.
