The Energy East pipeline is supported by 66 per cent of respondents in Atlantic Canada who took part in an Angus Reid poll.
Overall, 64 per cent of people across the country, who answered the survey, support the extension and conversion of the pipeline.
The highest level of support, not surprisingly, is in Alberta at 87 per cent followed by Saskatchewan at 78 per cent and then Ontario at 70 per cent.
58 per cent of respondents in Quebec are opposed.
