A happy ending for a Nova Scotia woman who got lost in the woods in Prince Edward Island.
RCMP got the call early this morning that the 42 year old woman had gone walking near Brackley Beach on the north shore last night. She called her husband and told him she was lost and her cell phone battery was almost dead.
A search was launched by the RCMP Dog Service, PEI Ground Search and Rescue team and Parks Canada employees.
At around 6 this morning, she was able to walk to a nearby road, and she was located safe.
The woman was cold and frightened, but wasn’t hurt. She was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital as a precaution and later released.
