Work on a new downtown entertainment centre for Moncton is about to get underway.
Heavy equipment is arriving at the site of the former Highfield Square and it will be used to begin ground work for the new facility.
Over the next few weeks, crews will begin installing the concrete foundation of the centre.
An official groundbreaking ceremony is expected to be held in the early spring, and the structural steel framing is planned for late June.
