Today is V-Day.
A day to bring awareness to violence against women..
On this day across the country, there will be performances of the Vagina Monologues, that includes Moncton.
Director Annette Crummey says the award winning play will be performed tonight is at Harrison Trimble.
She says, “Volunteers, 28 different local women, will perform the 19 different monologues. They range from people who are very comfortable on stage, to women who have been on stage before. Some of them are very funny, some of very poignant, some are very sad, and some will make you angry. They’re all different stories.”
V-Day and the performance of the Vagina Monologues has raised million of dollars for the cause over the years.
