Another first for Canada’s newest Prime Minister.
Justin Trudeau will be the first PM ever to march in the Toronto Pride parade on July 3rd.
Charles MacDougall of the Greater Moncton River of Pride group says this is great news for the LGBTQ communities.
He says, “Not only an elected official, but the elected official of Canada, the Prime Minister of Canada, who is coming to celebrate with us at our biggest event. Finally, we have a Prime Minister who participates.”
He says this is an important first step, but he would also like to learn more about Trudeau’s policies and how much of a stand he will take for the LGBTQ communities.
