Provincial Health Minister Victor Boudreau announcing a new plan so everyone in the province will have access to a family doctor. At least that’s the goal.
The New Brunswick Medical Society is proposing to set up a not for profit company to manage teams of family doctors with care available at night and even on weekends.
Boudreau also says midwives will be introduced as a pilot project this year.
Spending on healthcare is increasing by almost 66 million dollars to 2.58 billion dollars.
