It’s another snow day today for students in Anglophone East, Anglophone North, Anglophone South from Sussex to St. Stephen and Francophone South.
A system passing through our region has made for some difficult driving overnight, and it continues this morning.
We remain under that blowing snow advisory.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Barrie MacKinnon says the highest wind gusts overnight were almost 70 kilometres an hour, “This morning you will definitely experience some reduced visibility, but that should improve later this morning as winds diminish.”
MacKinnon says this storm hasn’t meant a major snow accumulation our region though, but the snow we have received is blowing around.
Conditions are expected to improve by later this morning.
For the time being though, if you are headed out, drive safe, slow down and give yourself some extra time.
