The general manager for PotashCorp’s New Brunswick division says they’re still putting plans together for the up to $5-million community investment fund for the Sussex area, but it’s hoped that in the next couple of weeks they will be able to give folks more detail about how that is going to be spent.
Iain Guille says they’ve been in area now for 30 years and they always have the aim to be good residents in terms of the way they do business. Guille says they believe this is the right thing to do in order to help people transition into new employment.
The suspension of the Picadilly mine meant the loss of over 400 jobs.
