Southeastern New Brunswick To Get Hit Hardest In Latest Winter Storm

Most students across the province are getting another snow day today, thanks to a winter storm that is expected to roll through our region this morning.

We are currently under a winter storm warning.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Ian Hubbard says we’ll get up to 35 centimetres of snow for Southeastern New Brunswick.

He says, “In the Southwest, they’ll get about 15 centimetres. For the northern part of the province, they’ll only see between two and five centimetres.”

High winds are also expected causing blowing snow and zero visibility in some areas.

Hubbard says it is a fairly fast moving system, that will last until around midnight tonight.

Driving conditions are expected to deteriorate once the snow begins. If you have plans to travel today, might want to reconsider.
